Reviews of Prestonfield House
Unique and impeccably clean place, accommodating staff. Fantastic and fabulous units with a wider bed.
The venue has stunning location in suburbs of big city. The stuff has always been accommodating👌
It was definitely worth the money we paid. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, just a short ride from the city. The staff at Prestonfield House were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
The breakfast selection could use some improvement, maybe offering more variety of dishes.
The best ive stayed in around edinburgh in factwhole of uk!Abstunning d staff cant do enough or the guests1
Exceptional service. Beautiful room. Delicious food. An absolute delight!
Room a little dark for applying make-up and drying hair
Lovely grounds, smaller rooms, dark lighting and decor. No main bar area, but friendly staff and good breakfast. Not our kind of place but may vary by room. Disappointed for the price.
The luxury, comfort and very attentive staff.A Brilliant place to stay for our weekend break to the city.
Luxurious, impeccable service, stunning ambiance, sumptuous dining, faultless staff, comfortable rooms, attention to detail, little touches.
Could not be improved in any way.
A wonderful stay at Prestonfield House, everything was perfect and the staff were amazing. Can't wait to go back!
I recently had the pleasure of staying in the Alan Ramsey suite at this opulent 5-star hotel. The suite was spacious and impeccably clean, with two rooms and two bathrooms. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a delightful welcome package including champagne, homemade cookies, and chocolates. They even provided a dog bed and bowls for my furry friend! Although it would have been nice to have some natural dog biscuits included, the attention to detail was still impressive.
Amazing attention to detail, especially from David on reception and Liam in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff carried our luggage. Sublime decor, warm and romantic. Exceptional room. Will return again and again.
Decore , Service , Presentation though some common rooms needed high cleaning & more attention to detail , Location was paramount to my needs & I was a little disappointed at not having a souvenier or trinket to remind me of my stay. Generally I was happy to have had the chance to stay at Prestonfield House .
My wife & I have worked in the Health System in Australia in both the Cleaning & Engineering Services & we noted some concerns to both criteria .
We have liked the building itself, the peaceful and green surroundings.
Our room was a luxury twin one, but one of the blankets (not duvets!) was in a bad condition. The sink in the bathroom was an "Ideal Standard" and gave the sensation of a bargain that seemed very inappropriate with the pretended standard of the hotel. Breakfast was "poor English breakfast". Very small portions, anyway on the menu mushrooms meant one mushroom, sausages meant one small piece, tomatoes meant one half tomato, salmon with scrambled eggs meant a few pieces of fish and about two or three spoons of eggs in the middle of a big plate. And we do not talk about caviar, just scrambled eggs! But the worst was that nobody in the breakfast room seemed to pay attention to us, we had to wait a lot to place the orders and then for the plates with what we have ordered. The people were very late in bringing the plates with the buffet things when they got empty, so there was nothing to eat in the meantime. The hotel was maybe a weekend one for some frequent customers, but that was rather an inconvenience for us. About the location, we do not recommend the hotel for anybody interested in visiting the city as it is far enough (10 minutes by car) and taxi fare is between 8 and 10 pounds.
We had an amazing stay at Prestonfield House! The setting was beautiful, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The luxurious decor and attention to detail were stunning. The food at the restaurant was exceptional, and the extensive wine list was a highlight. The staff were professional, friendly, and eager to assist with any requests. we had an outstanding experience and would highly recommend this hotel.
nice room, bose sound, you can rent bikes (15min to the city)
breakfast menu was below expectations - no fresh bread. only 3 varieties of meat. they didnt notice that the juice was empty or that no more bread was available....
